Starting from 1935, Mr Takeo Ishimoto had been started devoting his endless ambition in sport. With his efforts, “Ishimoto Shop” was established. In the early stage, Mr Ishimoto achieved a great success due to a non-shrinkage baseball uniform developed by him. In 1961, Descente built up its own Brand – “Descente”. Along with the time development, Descente acquired many famous brands’ licenses. It became very popular among athletes and public. Besides, Descente is very enthusiastic in sponsoring many different kinds of competitions, e.g. 2003 World Swimming Championship in Barcelona. That’s why Descente’s popularity keeps raising from time to time. Descente is anywhere around you, it helps enhancing your lifestyle.

In reaction to a boom in golf, Descente developed a partnership with Itochu Corporation and Toyobo Corporation and became the exclusive licensee of Munsingwear golf wear in Japan. |
